In 2023, I led the animation and motion design for key sequences in the documentary Warrior Spirit, produced by Coextinction and CBC. The film follows Will George as he fights to protect his Nation from the Trans Mountain Pipeline expansion, facing potential prison time within Canada’s discriminatory legal system.

The documentary featured three distinct animation styles: a paper-cut illustration aesthetic for the Warrior sequences, a silhouetted vector animation style for the courtroom scenes, and a hand-painted illustration approach for the Gladue Report. Blending documentary storytelling with 2D animation, editorial illustration, and motion design, the sequences were designed to support the film’s emotional and narrative impact.
